Pirate station Radio Luxemburg 261 kHz long wave

Dutch free radio station Radio Luxemburg has been broadcasting on longwave 261 in recent weeks. They relayed long running UK free radio station Radio Merlin International last Saturday. Two short videos plus link to RMI's site.

Libya: Benghazi 677.5 kHz reactivated

The transmitter at Benghazi, Libya on 677,5 kHz has been reactivated. (Mauno Ritola in the WRTH Facebook group)

Another new Dutch MW station: Radio 0511

Radio 0511 is now testing on MW 1494 kHz and will be on the air with regular transmissions from September. Fixed schedule each Sunday:
11:00 - 13:00: Mark de Haan
13:00 - 14:00: Peter Nijdam 1
14:00 - 16:00: Mark Nicolai
16:00 - 17:00 Erik Bolhuis
17:00 - 19:00: Marco Cate

New Dutch MW station; Q AM 1395

New low power mediumwave station is now on air in the Netherlands. Q AM (is NOT the same as Q Music) with oldies on 1395 kHz from Waardenburg, between Den Bosch and Utrecht. It's the second low power station on this frequency, Atlantis from the province of Friesland started about a month ago on 1395 kHz. (René van Hoof in the Medium Wave Circle Facebook group)

Pispalan Radio, Finland 729 kHz

Jorma Mäntylä reports that Pispalan Radio in Tampere is now being heard with a great signal on 729 kHz some 40 km from the transmitter site. The station was earlier using a temporary license, broadcasting under the name Radio Gramox. This time the station has a permanent license. (Jorma Mäntylä via Tore Larsson, ARC)

Heritage Radio 1602 testing

Heritage Radio 1602 kHz. Test broadcasts have commenced from Heritage Radio, Manchester on 1602kHz. Heard this afternoon (29 May at 1515UTC) on a portable with ferrite aerial alone in Buxton.  Presume new CR for Manchester. Asian music and OM announcing test transmissions.
